All Hail The Glorious CryptoToad!

Very little is known regarding the origin of the Rokk'os, and not much more about the nature of this mythical creature; or what motivates it to trap adventurers in unending torment should they become too certain of its existence. There was once a dwarf that escaped from the creature's lair, only to seemingly go mad only a few days later. Witnesses report that he seemed as well as could be expected, considering the circumstances, and then one night he leapt up from the tavern stool he'd likely been calling home, ran through the village exclaiming that the Rokk'os was a benevolent being, tormenting its occasional victims for the good of all things. Sadly, this madness is thought to have driven the dwarf right back into the lair of the beast, never to be seen again.
